Supplier of online and land-based casino games Galaxy Gaming has appointed Meredith Brill to its Board of Directors.

Brill has filled the seat vacated by William Zender, who resigned from Galaxy Gaming at the start of July 2022.

The supplier says Brill will serve until its next election of directors at an upcoming shareholders’ meeting.

Brill is herself a shareholder in Galaxy Gaming, with a background in intellectual property law. She has previously held a position as a patent agent too.

Her legal career has spanned patent drafting and prosecution, management strategy and competitive intelligence research.

Chairman of Galaxy Gaming’s Board of Directors Mark Lipparelli said: “Meredith is a valuable addition to the Galaxy board. Her experience in intellectual property matters is directly relevant to Galaxy’s business model, and, as a long-time shareholder, she is very familiar with the company’s opportunities and challenges. We look forward to her contributions.

“I have been a shareholder of Galaxy for several years, so I am an admirer of its business model and success to date,” stated Ms. Brill. “I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to get involved in the company’s strategy and operations and to bring my experience in IP-related matters to bear on its future activities.”

In June this year, Galaxy Gaming unveiled a new digital division, signalling a shift in focus towards online operations.

Named Galaxy Gaming Digital, the division will operate the brand’s portfolio of proprietary table content, including new games built in-house.

The supplier plans to release its first set of online titles later this year, including online versions of its land-based titles Split to Double Blackjack, Roulette Up and Rising Phoenix Baccarat.
